Summer in Seattle & Glass in Spokane
I will be attending the SEATTLE ART FAIR again this July at the Lumen Field Event Center.
This is one of my favorite fairs in the west, as it’s large enough to offer a satisfying variety but small and friendly enough to be approachable! The Seattle Times just published an article about the upcoming fair and its primary focus on Pacific Northwest artists and galleries, with the exciting inclusion of some international players, as well. This year also features a major focus on glass art, with the Museum of Glass (in Tacoma) and Pilchuck Glass School collaborating to bring the museum’s Mobile Hot Shop to the fair’s entrance!
This year I will be offering a small, curated group tour of the fair with free tickets for you and a guest(s). Our tour will feature curated booth visits, artist meet-and-greets, insights into market trends, emerging artists to watch and ways to envision incorporating various works into your homes and collections. This is meant to be a fun and approachable way to enjoy and experience the fair with a small group of fellow art enthusiasts and collectors.
Please email me (kelly@kellybakerartadvising.com), indicating interest in this experience and I will contact you with more information, available dates, and times to secure a spot!
If you find yourself at the art fair, I’ll be spending a lot of time in Booth A20 supporting my artist friends and The Art Spirit Gallery!
Speaking of glass - I hope you’re lucky enough to visit Spokane Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture for the featured exhibit which just opened this summer! Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight
Preston Singletary is a renown Northwest glass artist and sculptor, depicting Northwest Native Tlingit designs and traditional story in his work.
If you’re in Seattle for the Art Fair, see select works at Traver Gallery’s booth or visit their NEW LOCATION in Seattle - I hope to get some time to visit when I’m in Seattle next week!
